Day Four

Where sickness is consuming

Where hope splutters and fades

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits— who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy. Psalm 103:2-4

Sometimes when we focus on all the negative things around us, we can become despondent and lose hope. When we are personally affected by illness or see people dying, sometimes even from curable conditions our hearts can break.

We don’t always see the answers we desire and our faith can take a knock. We know from God’s word that there is no illness in Heaven and no more tears.

Jesus revealed Heaven, He came to bring heaven closer but we still live in a time where it is not fully revealed. We witness miraculous healings along with people still waiting to be healed. Our focus must always be on the healer and not the circumstance, we have to keep faith even when we don’t understand, to keep calling out for healing, for change. Never forget who He is, always thankful for the grace, the hope, the forgiveness and ultimate freedom we have already received.
